Hi, my name is Ashley and I'm from Johnsburg, IL originally. I grew up in Johnsburg, until I graduated high school and then moved to Chicago. I moved to Chicago to go to College. After I graduated from College, it was time for me to move out to San Diego.
I am a PC person. My old roommate back in Chicago had a Mac, it drove me nuts when I would try to use it. I'm on a computer everyday, whether it just be for checking emails or doing homework. I love the computer, I can't even remember what my life was like before computers. I depend on technology very much. If it wasn't for email, I would never talk to my friends or family. I hate talking on the phone, email is so much easier for me.
What I liked most about the mission statement was how it talked out diversity. I think diversity is a big part of being a teacher. You will have many students from all parts of the world in your class. I think it's great that this school makes such a big deal for everyone to understand that diversity is important. This mission statement had nothing to do with why I picked this school. I had talked to other teachers, who had said that CSUSM was a great school to get a teaching credential in.

Ashley-
I really enjoyed reading your intro letter! I was an econ major in college too! I went to Cornell University. I thought it was interesting that you have a BS in economics, I have a BA. Whatever, right?
I like Chicago too. We went there to visit relatives, and it was a blast! We went to the Sears tower, and to that new Millenium park. It is awesome! Have you been there? My husband grew up in Chicago, and we took the kids to see his old house from the outside, and we even played in the playground of his old elementary school! Of course, it was summer. I grew up in the midwest too, and I don't miss those winters at all!
Your aspiration to teach in high school is awesome, I'm sure you will achieve your goals!

Hi Ashley,
Your picture reminds me of 5th grade summer camp. My class and I went to the mountains for about a week. We had so much fun hiking and singing songs around the camp fire. There was even a “dance” at the end of trip, which was so cool when we were 10! I miss being a kid!! Anyway, that's pretty cool that you succeeded in your goal to move to California. I'm glad you are happy here.
So, you have already been subbing. I just recently took the cbest, and I was thinking about subbing for a while before starting the credential program... but 24 hours after hearing about these accelerated intersession courses, I decided to just jump right into it. I can't wait to get started!!
Well, it was very nice reading about you. I hope you do well in all of your classes. I think I'll see you tomorrow in our 350/364 class:)

Ashley,
I enjoyed readig your intro letter. I think Illinois is a wonderful place like you said.
I have been there twice. Once in the winter and once in summer.
I agree with you that California is the best place to live.
I'm glad you are substituting in the Oceanside Unified School District. This is a very good school district. I know you will be led to the right teaching opportunity for you. You will make a awesome teacher.

Ashley,
I enjoyed your introduction. You are well prepared for being a teacher here in California.
You will be led to where you will be needed and become successful in your endeavor to be a great teacher.

Hi, Ashley
I read your interesting intro letter. I really enjoy having a classmate like you who is this much determined. It is very good that you are independent and live with your friends because I believe it can help you to build your own life whatever you like. In my country, Iran, girls can not live separate from their family until they get married, so they are very limited to move toward their wishes because their family always interrupt them and make decision for them.
I hope you can reach to all of your wishes soon. I am sure you are goin to be a good teacher.
